Arrival in Tehran

Upon your arrival to the Tehran airport, please look for someone with the school sign who will help you with the transport to the Guest House or domestic terminal. We recommend that you inform us of your arrival time as soon as possible. Those who need an accommodation in Tehran should inform us.

Flight to Shiraz

There are more than 5 flights everyday from Tehran to Shiraz. You should book your Shiraz flights through your travel agency.  In case that it is not possible let us know as soon as possible so that we prepare your ticket in Tehran.

Accommodation

It is planned to accommodate all participants at Shiraz Tourism Complex. Upon arrival, each participant will be registered at reception desk of the Complex.

Lectures

The school will start on Saturday April 20th, at 9:00 AM in the lecture hall of the Complex. There will be two lectures in the morning and two lectures in the afternoon (indicate in the program).

Language

The official language of the school will be English.

Weather

Shiraz has a dry climate and is  sunny. There is a temperature difference of about 15 C between day and night. In April the temperature nearly varies from 15 C to 30 C. 

Electrical Appliance

The electricity supply in Iran works at 220 V and 50 Hz. There are standard sockets.

Meals

We will provide you breakfast, lunch and dinner during school. Vegetarian meals are also available upon request.  

Workshop

Those who are interested to give a talk in the workshop  are kindly requested to submit a summary of their talk (between 300-500 words) to the ISS2002 office not later than 26th of April.
 

Excursion

There will be two excursions on Wednesday April 24th and Tuesday April 30th. The details will be given during the school. If you want a tour to Isfahan or other historical sites, you should inform us as soon as possible. We will introduce you to a tourist agency. Note that during these trips you have to pay your accommodation in cash US dollars.
