Arrival in Tehran
Upon your arrival to the Tehran airport, please look for someone with the school sign who will help you with the transport to the IPM Guest House or domestic terminal. Main information about Anzali
City of Anzali is situated 40 kms north-west of Rasht on the south coast of the Caspian sea in Gilan province. It is about 363 Kms from Tehran.
Options available for going to Anzali
1. Bus to Anzali
There will be one or two buses (depending on the number of people and their arrival times) on September 28th for transportation of participants from IPM guest house to Sefid Kenar Hotel in Anzali. The trip will take approximately 6 hours. We have also considered one or two buses for return trip from Anzali to Tehran at the end of the School. More information on return trip will be announced later.
2. Flight to Rasht
There is no direct flight to Anzali. The nearest airport is the Rasht airport which is 40 Kms from Anzali. Transportation from airport to the Hotel will be provided. There are 2 flights everyday from Tehran to Rasht. If you prefer to travel by plane we may book your Rasht flights. You may choose your flights from the following timetable and inform us at least 10 days in advance. Due to problem of visibility in the Rasht airport (because of fog) there are frequent cancellation of morning flights. The flight duration is about 30 minutes.

Weather
At this time of the year the weather is often cloudy and rainy. There is a temperature difference of about 9 C between day and night. In October the temperature nearly varies from 14 C to 23 C.
Electrical Appliance
The electricity supply in Iran works at 220 V and 50 Hz. There are standard sockets.
Meals
We will provide you with breakfast, lunch and dinner during school. Vegetarian meals are also available upon request.

Excursion
There will be two excursions on Friday October 3rd and Wednesday October 8th. The details will be given during the school. If you would like to visit Isfahan or any other historical site, you should inform us as soon as possible. We will introduce you to a tourist agency. Note that during these trips you have to pay for your expenses (normally payable in US dollars).
