The plasma group in the
School of Physics of the Institute for Studies in Theoretical Physics
and Mathematics (IPM) offers postdoctoral positions in theoretical
plasma physics. The applicants are expected to conduct research in
the following fields:

Stability analysis of
high-frequency perturbations in neutral and nonneutral plasmas using
fluid or kinetic formalism with applications in free electron
lasers. |
|
|
Nonlinear analysis
of wave-particle interactions in plasma at the presence of trapped
particles in conventional, electron-positron, and dusty plasma
using fluid and kinetic models. |
|
|
General
hydrodynamic model for fluids and plasmas, especially, various
aspects of mathematical and topological fluid dynamics.
