Arrival in Tehran

Upon your arrival to the Imam Khomeini international airport (IKA), please look for someone with the school sign in the entrance hall near the Information Desk (please see the Map). He will help you with the transport to the IPM guest house or to the Mehrabad airport for taking the domestic flight to Isfahan. In case of any problem please contact the mobile phone indicated below or the desk of Seiro Safar Taxi Service located in the entrance hall.

If you have more than 2000 USD with you please do not forget to declare your foreign currency before leaving the customs area. Please take note of addresses, telephone and telefax numbers as below

You may find banks to exchange major currencies at the Airports. An approximate currency exchange rate is 1US$~9000 Rls and 1€~13800 Rls.

 Transportation  to Isfahan

 1.  Bus to Isfahan

There will be one or two buses (depending on the number of people and their arrival times) on April 8^th  for transportation of participants from IPM guest house to IUT campus where the guest house is located and where the lectures will be held. The buses will leave IPM around 3pm and the trip will take approximately 6 hours. We have also considered one or two buses for return trip from Isfahan to Tehran at the end of the School. More information on return trip will be announced later. 

  2.  Flight to Isfahan

The nearest airport is the Isfahan airport which is 70 Km from Isfahan University of Technology (IUT). The flight duration is about 40 minutes. If you are interested in traveling by plane please choose your preferred flights from the following table and inform us at least 15 days in advance.  We will prepare the tickets and you can collect the ticket either at IPM or in the Mehrabad airport, regarding which you will be notified by the conference secretary.

Electrical Appliance

The electricity supply in Iran works at 220 V and 50 Hz. There are standard sockets.

Meals

We will provide your breakfast, lunch and dinner during the school. All meals will be served in the restaurant near the Guest House of IUT.

 Place of the Conference & Registration

The school will start on Wednesday, April 9^th in the   lecture hall of Physics Department of IUT located in third floor room no. 118. Signs in the Bldg will guide you to the hall. Registration will be on Tuesday, April 8^th in the evening in the lobby of the IUT guest house.
Buses are arranged to take you from the IUT guest houses to the conference place Physics Dept. Bldg. Every morning at 09:15, and will return to the guest house for the lunch at 13:15 and for the dinner at 19:00. 

Excursion

For the conference excursion which will be on Sunday  April 13^th   a visit to Kashan, a city  about 230 Km North of Isfahan, is planned. The details will be given during the school. If you would like to visit Shiraz or  any other historical site, you should inform us as soon as possible. Please note that standard credit cards, like Master or Visa are not normally accepted in Iran.
